A coding enthusiast since elementary school, I honed my skills in an elite computers unit during my military service. Transitioning to the cyber industry, I embarked on a journey that led me from a startup to Microsoft, where I've spent the last three years. Recently, I've been focused on developing a Rust-based agent for the Defender suite, integral to the Windows OS security ecosystem.
In this talk, I will delve into the transformative journey of error handling in our first Rust project. From an initial state where panic-induced chaos was widespread, making it challenging to pinpoint the root causes of crashes, we navigated through the Rust ecosystem to establish a robust and stable foundation.
