Abstract
When working on software it's easy to get buried in technical details and lose sight of the human element. Yet, having worked in the Rust Project for the last 6 years and now co-leading its Compiler Team, I would consider this to be one of the most important parts of what we do.
In this talk I'll explain why the social side of software development is so important, and how you can approach technical collaborations in a way that puts the people first.
